Daniel Feinberg, MD, has been serving as chief medical officer at Pennsylvania Hospital since October 2010 and holds the appointment of professor of Clinical Neurology at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Feinberg received his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his neurology training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Feinberg previously served as patient safety officer and medical director of Clinical Informatics at Pennsylvania Hospital and as the physician champion for the implementation of Epic as the inpatient electronic medical record at Penn Medicine. Prior to becoming CMO at Pennsylvania Hospital, he served as corporate vice president for Clinical Excellence at Catholic Health East, overseeing patient safety and quality for the 34-hospital health system.
Dr. Feinberg was appointed to the Board by the governor to fill the position of a healthcare worker, employed by a hospital pursuant to MCARE Act Section 303(b)(6).
