​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The advisor program began more than a decade ago to provide facilities guidance for navigating event reporting and develop strategies to reduce harm. Formerly referred to as patient safety liaisons (PSLs), the team consists of eight patient safety advisors and four infection prevention advisors. These professionals bring a breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise to the facilities they serve. This expertise translates into a broad range of services available to facilities on a regional basis.​​
