Michelle Bell is the Director of Outreach and Education with the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority. Michelle began working with the Authority in 2010 as a Patient Safety Liaison for the south east region. She joined the patient Safety Authority after completing a yearlong fellowship with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, a world renowned expert organization on medication safety. She has presented and developed education on several patient safety topics and was instrumental in the development and publication of the "Drug Shortage Toolkit" available on the Authority's website.
Prior to her role with the Authority, Ms. Bell practiced as an emergency department nurse, and has since filled a variety of roles in shared governance, compliance, patient safety, and quality management. She was a recipient of the Alegent Health Excellence Award in 2005.
