Motts, RN, BSN, M.Ed., senior patient safety liaison at the Patient Safety Authority; Carol VanZile, LCSW, director of behavioral health regulatory compliance accreditation at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH); Shawnna Baney-Shaw, risk manager at Mount Nittany Health; and Tina Kephart, RN-BC, director of behavioral health at Mount Nittany Medical Center, will identify and discuss two Pennsylvania healthcare facilities' perspectives on living through a unitwide renovation, assess ligature and suicide risk in various inpatient care settings, and summarize information and resources on improving ligature risk assessment and mitigation.

  • Human Factors Strategies That Can Be Used to Improve Processes in ASF Settings (presented by the Patient Safety Authority patient safety liaisons)
